The Shar Pei is a dog breed from southern China. Traditionally kept for dog fighting, the Shar Pei was driven to the brink of extinction in the 20th century.
Originally the Saint Bernard was used to guard the grounds of Switzerland’s Hospice Saint Bernard as well as to help find and save lost and injured travelers.
